๐ฆ The Lion and the Bull ๐ฎ
(A Panchatantra Tale of Friendship and Deceit)
Once, in a great forest, a strong bull named Sanjeevaka lived by a river. One day, he hurt his leg and stayed near the river to rest. Over time, he grew healthy and strong again.
Nearby lived Pingalaka, the lion king. One day, hearing the bullโs loud call echoing through the forest, the lion grew afraid. He thought it was a giant beast.
A clever jackal named Damanaka said, โDonโt be afraid, my lord. Iโll find out who makes that sound.โ The jackal went and met the bull. Soon, he introduced the two โ and the lion and the bull became good friends.
But the jackal grew jealous. He whispered to the lion, โThe bull plans to attack you.โ Then he told the bull, โThe lion is angry with you.โ Believing the lies, both friends fought โ and the bull was killed.
Later, the lion realized the truth and regretted losing a good friend.
